Clumber Spaniel has been catalogued with Fédération Cynologique Internationale and their list of dog breeds as #109 in section «flushing Dogs» (8.2) in the group «retrievers, flushing dogs, water dogs» (registered 2009-03-26). Also recognized by the Canadian Kennel as «sporting dogs».
