Bullmastiff dog breed

Bullmastiff breed description

Bullmastiffs are good as working dogs and is an excellent as a guard dog. They are the market's best burglar alarm!

The bullmastiff comes across as a very bright dog breed. The dog thrives best when doing tasks that involve mental challenges.

Many dogs sheds a lot, but this is not something that can be claimed onbullmastiff. Easy grooming of the coat is one of several advantages of this breed.

Bullmastiffs respond well to obedience training, which is why they are descirbed as a dog breed which is easy to deal with (albeit all dogs are different). Bullmastiff is a vigilant dog breed, and responds well to dog training. Like all dogs, dogs of this breed will need their daily walks. The breed demands some training, although there are other breeds that require more ventilation of their owners.

Some dogs can be a bit reserved and skeptical strangers, but there exists considerable variation within the breed. Aggression between dogs vary more between individuals than between various dog breeds, but the tendency for dog aggression is perhaps somewhat higher in bullmastiff. The breed is considered as one of the more kid-friendly dog breeds, but do not forget: No dogs should never leave small children alone with dogs, regardless of breed or size. Children-friendly dogs may be a myth more than anything else, all dogs are different! As distant descendants of the wolf this breed still have some strong instincts. This dog breed tends to bite and nip at puppyhood, and if this occurs, one should address the problem as early as possible. It has been argued that they drool much, so avoid this breed if you think this may be a problem (a human problem that is, the dogs are fine!).

They are not amongst the loud and noisy breed, and usually does not bark that much. The bullmastiff can be a bit uncomfortable in warmer climates. This is a robust dog that can tolerate cold and low temperatures nice and thrive winter and summer. Like fun and games? It also makes these dogs! Most dogs of this particular breed will do just fine staying home alone.

The dog's physical features: A bullmastiff is a one of the larger breeds, short coat, with a robust body shape, midsized half standing ears, relatively long legs, short hanging tail, relatively short muzzle, and many would probably mention the good looks as well.

Health: The health problems for bullmastiffs varies and can vary between individuals. They are hip dysplasia, eyelid problems, bloat, hypothyroidism, different illnesses in canines and other diseases and health problems.

More information about the dog: The bullmastiff comes from England. Life expectancy will vary, but anything from 8 to 10 years is normal. Litter varies from 4 to 13 puppies. The breed is a relatively popular and there is still someone who advertises puppies for sale. Bullmastiffs were initially bred for guarding and companionship.
